‘Billabongs and Waterholes’ was
conceived on a trip through the Flinders Ranges to Lake Eyre and Coopers
Creek. Although the mountains and rock
formations were spectacular, it was the waterholes and billabongs which spoke
to her Piscine soul.
This current body of works shows
her love for the ever changing beauty of places where water and land interact. The play of light on the water’s surface, the
breeze distorting the reflections and the wildlife these places harbour are a
delight and a rich source of inspiration. ‘Where there is Water there is Life’
underpins every image.
